President and CEO, Financial Planner

I didn't start out knowing I wanted to work in finance. I was taking the long path through college, a class here and there, without much direction. What changed things for me was credit card debt. It sounds simple, but when you're in it and trying to figure out how to climb out, you start paying attention to money in a completely different way. I struggled through that process, made mistakes, and eventually found my way clear. That experience taught me more about personal finance than any textbook could have, and it shaped how I think about this work.

For the past 19 years, I've been helping people take ownership of their financial journey. What I've learned is that financial planning isn't really about spreadsheets or account balances. It's about understanding why money matters to you in the first place. I spend time exploring that with clients: the experiences that shaped how they think about wealth, the values that drive their decisions, and what they're actually trying to build. That analysis matters because financial purpose isn't something you find in a generic plan. It comes from understanding your own story.

What I'm trying to do is give people their time back. When you're intentional about your finances, you spend less time worrying about whether you're doing the right thing and more time living the life you're planning for. That shift is what makes this work meaningful to me.

I grew up in Wellington, a small town in Ohio, and now live in Lewis Center just outside Columbus with my wife, Danielle, and our two boys, Cohen and Wesley. They're the reason I wanted to start this firm and the support system that made it possible. Building something on your own is a risk, but it's also a chance to do the work the way I think it should be done. That's what Chapters To Wealth is about.
